Birth announcement: Anastasia Therese!

A mama I did a private consultation for has let me know her little girl has arrived and been given the beautiful name … Anastasia Therese!

She writes,

“Hi Kate! I wanted to update you that we had a GIRL! We decided to name her Anastasia Therese. As soon as she was born, she looked just like an Anastasia to both of us. We’re pronouncing it ah na sta SEE uh. Thanks for your help!! :)”

I love love love the combo Anastasia Therese, so lovely and full of significance!! She joins some equally amazingly named big siblings, who are pictured with her in the photo below (their names are in the caption). Congratulations to the whole family, and happy birthday Baby Anastasia!!

  3. Congrats! Anastasia Therese is gorgeous but so are the names of all the siblings. Impossible to pick a favorite, they’re all packed with meaning and oh so elegant.

  8. Looks like this family is doing the same thing another family from an early July consultation is trying: naming their daughters after the 8 women mentioned in the canon! They have already honored Our Lady, St. Lucy, St. Agnes, St. Perpetua and St. Anastasia. Only 3 missing (Cecilia, Felicity and Agatha).

    I love seeing Caterina and Lucia in a sib set, but I must say my favorite is Beatriz! Congrats to these parents! Beautiful children and amazing name taste 🙂

  9. Hey Everyone! I’m the Mama to these kiddos. Thanks so much for the congrats and the name compliments. I have always been interested in family naming patterns and it’s fun to see that I am not alone! 🙂 Our “rule” which we discovered AFTER we named our sixth child (a daughter who passed away before she was born…Teresa Angelina) was that the name was either in the Canon or a Doctor of the Church. I almost broke from that this time, but I have a couple of rule follower kiddies who pretty much insisted we hold to our pattern. After they prayed so fervently for the safe arrival of this little one, it was easy to oblige them. And as I mentioned to Kate in the email, she was just clearly an Anastasia to us as soon as she was born. And the Therese is of course after the Doctor (little flower) and after her big sister, Teresa, who has gone on before us. Thanks again, Kate!! This was so fun! 🙂
