Happy St. Patrick’s Day! And some fun news to share! πŸ’šβ˜˜οΈ

Haaaaappy St. Paddy’s Day!! One of my favorite days of the year!! If you’re looking for Irish naming inspiration, I’ve got a bunch of posts from years past that might have just what you’re looking for. ☘️☘️☘️

I have an extra special reason for being excited for today this year, as I’d earmarked today as “share the news day” — I’m thrilled to share with you all that my family will be welcoming a new little wee Miss or Mister in the fall!Β πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

I haven’t been posting much original content lately as a result, which you’ve probably all noticed — I’ve been feeling terrible and counting the days until I reach the point where I’ve felt better in past pregnancies, which I estimated to be another 3 to 5 weeks — but once I’m back to cracking, I’ve got a list of topics I’d love to write about, so stay tuned! (I know how blessed I am that my “morning” sickness isn’t HG and doesn’t last past 18 weeks — you ladies that suffer with bad sickness in pregnancy are warriors!)

Cheers to you all today! St. Patrick, pray for us! And any prayers you’d like to send in the direction of me and my little babe would be greatly appreciated.Β πŸ’šβ˜˜οΈπŸ’šβ˜˜οΈπŸ’šβ˜˜οΈ

  1. Congratulations! We’re also expecting a baby this fall, lucky number 7! I pray the morning sickness ends quickly for you! Do you normally find out the baby’s gender during pregnancy?

    • Thank you!! Congratulations to you!! This is no. 7 for us as well! We’ve never found out gender, so everyone’s going bananas here with impatience wondering if we’ll have a girl! Haha! How about you?

      • We have found out 5/6 times. The last time my kids all wanted to wait, so we did! It was fun, but I really like finding out ahead so we’ll probably go back to that this time. We have 4 girls and 2 boys so my boys are really pulling for a boy! A fun thing about our kids is their hair color alternates blonde-red-blonde-red etc. Finding out if the pattern holds is surprise enough for me on delivery day! πŸ™‚

  2. Congratulations! Do you share your own name choice(s) early or do you wait until baby is born to announce that (or even to decide for sure)? This is the second pregnancy announcement for fall babies I’ve heard this weekend; SO EXCITING!

  5. That is wonderful news! It would be so exciting to have a girl but either way you are so very blessed. I will keep you in my prayers for sure!

I love your blog and follow you daily. I pray everyday myself for the courage to accept Gods will as it seems that we cannot have another baby. It has been 4 years since our princess was born after having 3 boys and my heart aches for another. But I am learning so much in carrying this Cross, which is small compared to others burdens. God bless you , all your boys and baby 7 ….Anne in Austria

      • That is so sweet of you! I can’t wait to hear your baby name? I am not sure if you shared your boys names previously but if you have a post for this Baby will be Thrilled!
I will keep praying for you and hope you feel better very very soon!

  6. Congratulations! So exciting! Saint Patrick’s Day is the perfect day for this announcement! One year ago today, The leprechaun left a riddle for our boys to figure out, announcing that they they’d be getting a new baby. It was so much watching their faces light up once they realized what was going on! Now we sometimes call Finn our little Leprechaun. Ha! Prayers for you!

  7. Congratulations on your pregnancy Kate! May you have seven sons (πŸ˜‚ Or an awesome cool seventh daughter!) and I hope your nausea passes soon. Can’t wait to hear of the little babe!

  8. Congratulations Kate! What happy news!

I am the eldest of seven girls and even though it would have been fun to have a baby brother, I love having six sisters!

Some of us are married and our husbands led to brothers-in-law and grandsons so things have balanced out for my parents.

If you have another boy, I am sure that you will have girls around eventually… you just might have to wait a few decades like my parents. They would say it all worked out! πŸ˜‚

    • Haha I love this!! I’ll be delighted either way — there’s something so cool about the idea of seven boys, and of course something so cool about adding in a little girl!

      • Either way it will be so much fun for your family! My dad loves introducing himself and then saying and I have seven daughters! It’s an uncommon icebreaker πŸ˜‚
