  1. I love all your suggestions, Kate! I don’t think they can go wrong! Wanted to put it out there that my mom is Dolores and she has always gone by Lori (born 1960 so that is right in their mid century wheelhouse); her mom was Dolores who went by Dortch (maybe a less pleasant nickname). My mom has always run into trouble at, for instance, the airport if her ticket says Lori and her ID says Dolores. I don’t think it is an intuitive leap for people!
